July 11: An extraordinary coincidence
Another long day of travel, westward about 500km to my grandparents' house in Ekenäs, on the south coast. Boarded a coach in the morning, later changed to a train where, bizarrely, we bumped into my brother, who was also travelling in Finland and happened also to be heading to our grandparents'11. Eventually reached Ekenäs in the evening, and were immediately ferried out by my uncle to my grandparents' island, Pottören12, where divers family members were already staying. After a traditional sauna and a traditional meal of sausages and beer, we retired to bed.
