July 16: back to the mainland

Relaxed morning, drying out our wet clothes and packing up. Lunched on Åland pancakes, the local speciality, at a lovely café, then got the ferry back to Åbo. Another long, pleasant, ferry trip followed by a long, pleasant train trip got us to Helsinki by 10. Dumped our stuff in out excellent, spacious hostel room, and went to a pub to reflect on the greatness of countries where the trains run on time and you can get a beer after 11 on Sunday.
